MacOrb Early access

MacOrb / Trust & transparency

Pricing

One price, charged by the minute, paid for up front. No subscription, no seat fee, and nothing to cancel.

The rate

$0.15 per Mac-minute. A minute starts when the machine begins booting — so startup counts, including a boot that never finishes — and stops when MacOrb records the machine as destroyed. Nothing accrues while you have no machine running.

Buying credit

Credit is bought in packs and drawn down per minute. The larger packs are not discounted: credit is credit, and a pack that bought more than it cost would make the per-minute price depend on how you paid.

PackCreditMac-minutes, about
$10$1066
$25$25166
$50$50333

Minute figures are rounded down and are an estimate, not an entitlement: what you actually get is the credit, drawn down at the rate above. Prices are in US dollars, before any tax our payment provider is required to add at checkout.

Credit does not expire

Credit stays on your account until you spend it. There is no expiry date and no monthly minimum.

Refunds

Unused credit can be refunded on request within 14 days of the purchase that bought it. Machine minutes you have already used are not refundable — the machine really ran, and MacOrb was really billed for it. The full wording is in the Terms; ask through Support.

What you should know before buying

  • One live machine per account. Starting a second is refused until the first is stopped.
  • Machines are temporary. Stopping one destroys it and everything on it — push or export anything you want to keep.
  • Each session has a time limit, shown before you start it, after which MacOrb stops the machine for you.
  • MacOrb is early access: machines can start slowly, fail to start, or be interrupted.

Billing is not switched on yet. Nothing can be purchased and no usage is being charged; this page describes the pricing that applies once it is.
